Let me just say this-
I, The Fabulous Mz Berlin, love guest directing for Twisted Factory (twistedfactory.com). I fucking love it. I love writing scripts and calling the crew and picking out my outfits and studying my prey through previous video and from casual chats. I love the responsibility, the creative aspects of it and the rush. I love improving my skills, both my aim (HA!) and my rigging, my pacing, learning about angles and lighting and the perception of the viewer, meeting content demands. I like putting the pieces together and seeing what happens. Now, I’m not always right, nor am I always sexy, nor am I always successful. But I do try to learn from What Has Worked and What Has Not. I love collaborating with the Twisted Factory crew and my past few trips have been wonderful. I come home exhausted, accomplished and ready to do it again if asked.
I like working for TF on that basis, and it seems to be a balance that’s working.
And I truly welcome any guest director, any new webmaster (any new employee for that matter), any guest rigger with open arms. I am not an official part of the Twisted Factory crew, but I don’t think I’m going anywhere fast, and I get just as excited as Chanta when new material and new rigging and fresh ideas walk through the door. Behind the scenes, I’ve been pretty vocal about my excitement, enthusiasm and willingness to help and accept guest directors and am thrilled that it’s resulted in a webmaster position being offered to a highly qualified candidate. I hope to see lots of new faces walk through the doors of The Factory, but this recent offer was a particularly important milestone in the history of the company. And it’s garnered quite a bit of attention.
So, let me also say this-
But I have no desire to be, nor would I really enjoy, nor would it really be fun for anybody, if I were to become a webmaster or full time director right now. I am very busy being a psuedo-socialite kinky person in Hollywood, and I really like creating my own content and I really don’t do the editing thing right now and it’s too fucking cold in San Fransisco. And let me repeat, I do not edit. I am much more a creative person than a technical one, and I’m having a lot of fun creating a stylized vision in front of the camera than behind a computer screen. There’s always tomorrow, and one day it may interest me. But don’t hold your breath.
So, I hope this note will put to rest any reservations that anyone had about mentioning this to me or whatever. Chanta and I have never really discussed having me work for TF on a full time basis. I’ve offered to come up and help whenever it’s needed, and I love TF. I also like working for other companies, too, and bopping about, which is not compatible with a full time job.
Being myself is a full time job. And it’s exhausting. Aren’t you tired after reading this post, even?
