Wow.

I’m totally floored by the events of the past week and over the weekend. I now have enough in my legal fund to cover the filing fees for my child custody revision petition. Or whatever it’s called. I am completely humbled and thankful for all of your letters of encouragement, your hard-earned cash and your empathy. So many fans and friends really came through for me when I needed them to.  This is a personal and time sensitive thing and the fast action of the community has been really inspirational.

I am going to send for documents I need to file tomorrow and will be paying the lawyer the remainder of the balance. I put the downpayment on my credit card last week and am so thankful that I don’t have to worry about coming up with the rest of the fees on the fly.  Thank y’all so much.The final amount is still to be determined, but I’m hoping that mediation will be all that’s needed.

I have spent most of today cleaning the house. I feel that in order to tackle such a tall order this week I have to be in a good mindset, and we all know how good it feels to have a house that is clean from top to bottom. I’ve been organizing, ironing, cleaning and throwing out stuff. I also have put a good bit of stuff aside for eBay! It feels good to be productive.

As an aside, I have gotten so many emails and will focus on returning each and every one later this week, as soon as I’ve worked out all of the legal paperwork. I have read everything that’s hit my inbox and I’d like to give a blanket “Thank You” here.
