Mz Berlin/Matt Smith Update

Wow! I logged on to my blog today and there were a gazillion comments! Well, not a gazillion, but I’m WAY closer to my 666 goal now.
And most of them were about the current torture debate.
Yes, I spoke with Matt Smith last week. We agreed to open up a public dialogue. He said that he would call me back this week and we would do a Q&A about the public perception of his piece and why I feel that it’s hit so many “hot” buttons because of his sources and wording.
He was very polite, if verbose, during our chat and I got the impression that he felt that he was being attacked because he wasn’t being PC. I told him that this was beyond that. It was the incorrect use of a term that’s actually quite serious, in my opinion. He chalked it up to a few radicals demanding political correctness, when I feel that the assertion of torture implies something much deeper.
So, he hasn’t gotten back to me and I haven’t followed up. I’ll leave him a message tomorrow, first thing.
Maybe I am a left wing nut.
As for the assertion that a porn star was held against her will, was beaten and marked beyond her desire and has nightmares about a shoot at Kink.com, I truly doubt it. Shoots at kink.com are shot far more professionally than anywhere I’ve ever been. You are questioned about your well being, both emotionally and physically, from the moment you walk through the door. Whether it’s your first shoot, or your 15th. If she had a bad day, or even an overwhelming one, I’d buy that. But as a model you’re constantly being checked on throughout the experience by numerous people. If there were any miscommunications, I’d totally blame it on the inability of the model to express herself either in the moment or in negotiations. If you’re uncomfortable with anything it’s your responsibility to let it be known.
